These subdomains are reserved for specific user groups. The .gov.al and .mil.al domains are reserved for government and military use only and are not registered by registrars. We can only register:
.com.al – You must provide documentation proving that you are a company registered in Albania.
.net.al – You must provide documentation proving that you are a networking company registered in Albania.
.edu.al – You must provide documentation proving that you are a registered educational institution in Albania.
.org.al – You must provide documentation proving that you are a non-governmental organization registered in Albania.
.al domains can be active for a maximum period of 10 years. This means that during registration, the domain can be registered for a period of up to 10 years. However, domain renewal can be done for a maximum period of 9 years.
For domain.al, 4 additional pieces of information are required:
Company ID – This is optional for domain.al, but mandatory for third-level domains.
Document Type – Can be one of the options below:
Identity Card
Passport
Social security number
Organization Identification Number – The registrant’s ID number.
Legal status – It can be one of the options below:
Limited Liability Company – Requires Company ID to be filled in.
Public Entity/Organization – Requires the company ID to be filled in (mainly for .gov.al).
