For domain.al, 4 additional pieces of information are required:

1. Company ID – This is optional for domain.al, but mandatory for third-level domains.
2. Document Type – Can be one of the options below:
   • Identity Card
   • Passport
   • Social security number
3. Organization Identification Number – The registrant’s ID number.
4. Legal status – It can be one of the options below:
   • Limited Liability Company – Requires Company ID to be filled in.
   • Public Entity/Organization – Requires the company ID to be filled in (mainly for .gov.al).
   • A trader – requires the company’s ID to be completed.
   • Individual.

These subdomains are reserved for specific user groups. The .gov.al and .mil.al domains are reserved for government and military use only and are not registered by registrars. We can only register:

• .com.al – You must provide documentation proving that you are a company registered in Albania.
• .net.al – You must provide documentation proving that you are a networking company registered in Albania.
• .edu.al – You must provide documentation proving that you are a registered educational institution in Albania.
• .org.al – You must provide documentation proving that you are a non-governmental organization registered in Albania.

Of course, you can buy as many domains as you or your business needs.

Can we register domains in .com.al and similar third-level .al domains?

The following rules apply to third-level domains:

1. The company ID field is mandatory.
2. .com.al requires the company registration certificate as an additional document. Only a Limited Liability Company or a Commercial Person can have legal status.
3. .org.al requires as an additional document the license showing the company ID. Only a Limited Liability Company can have legal status.
4. .edu.al requires a license from the Ministry of Education in Albania as an additional document. Only a Limited Liability Company or Public Entity/Organization can have legal status.
5. In some cases, the Registry (AKEP) may request an identity card. This mainly happens in cases where the domain is a trademark.

AKEP may reject the domain registration if the information provided by the registrant is inaccurate or incomplete. Additionally, if your domain name is classified as a reserved or prohibited name according to AKEP regulations, the domain registration may be rejected.
